Okay y'all - NO SOUND BATH TONIGHT! I am going to stay home, eat tacos, and promote all our awesome new September events. (I am VERY excited about our September/October events. We have a few epic things coming.) We are doing some final prep work this weekend and then we are OPEN y'all. Normal hours. I will post them on the Google and the Apple maps this weekend. :)

So when I say Como Barks & Rec is giving sound baths to the dogs... I mean and we have nothing to do with it! :)

Forgive me... I'm doing a little cross-promotion for the store. WE HAVE NEW SHOPPING HOURS! THU/FRI - AFTER 1PM. If you've been eyeing the store after class and wishing you could come in and spend some time, now you can. Also - we have tons of new non-vintage stuff.

Ladybird is growing! ❤️

We’ve been quietly adding lots of new goodies alongside all of our vintage - new clothing, claw clips, housewares, stickers, and all kinds of weird little things we love. And one of my favorite parts has been finding cool small businesses and makers from around the country to bring into the shop.

Yarnival
These $4 stickers come from a tiny Wisconsin business that’s been traveling the Midwest craft-show circuit for more than a decade, making colorful, clever, spunky stickers.

Lakhays Collection
Our super popular $22 luna moth + black cat cropped shirts come from a California company that’s been working with artisans in Nepal, India, Indonesia, and Thailand since 1998. Many of the artisans are women using their textile skills to support their families.

Golden Gems
Our $12 keychains + $30 hats come from this women-owned St. Louis company, founded by two sisters. Golden Gems started in 2016 and designs and develops its products in St. Louis.

Gardenbelle
Some of our really special clothing comes from this small-batch slow-fashion company - including $39 quilted skirts, $78 rainbow jackets, and $88 GIANT flowy pants. They work with sewing artisans in India, use sustainable materials, and their sewing team sets their own wages based on the time and skill involved in each piece.

HEX Botanicals
We have wooden botanical suncatchers + air-plant hangers for around $29–$45 from a floral and graphic designer who owns a brick-and-mortar plant shop in Grass Valley, California. She learned laser operation while working for an aviation company, then eventually brought that skill into her plant shop and began creating these pieces.

TheDivaSoap
Our colorful acetate claw clips come from this Sacramento-based small accessory brand. Their hair accessories are made to order in their own manufacturing facility.

We’re also stocking up on affordable dorm + apartment decor - paper lanterns, kantha quilts, hanging light fixtures, curtain rings, rugs, and more.

More clothes AND locally grown succulents are coming soon!

We also have new daytime shopping hours: Thursday + Friday after 1pm. Come wander around, shop the vintage and new stuff, grab a cold drink, and hang out in the cafe.

And on Friday nights, come hang out with us for a free DJ party! Shop, drink, dance, or just sit around and be social. ❤️

Hello, everybody! I have had to take a few days off to deal with some urgent issues on the backend - apologies that more or less no one has been minding the store. I will be getting back to it with event promotions later today, and doing a thorough pass through all the various message boxes tonight. If you need something and I haven't gotten back to you - huge apologies. We have a tiny staff, and unexpected mobilization can create a bit of a ripple. Feel free to hit me up again!

I know that the space had a day or two where it didn't radiate its normal calm glow this week - thank you for the grace, you are our people. ❤️ I feel like extending grace on rough days might be the greatest part of our company ethos.

We will be pushing back this weekend's Reinvention Retreat until November (my birthday weekend!) - with the current excitement, we don't feel like it's the right time to try and hold space in such a meaningful way for the first time. I will reach out to anyone who registered today.

Please join us for the very first Tiny Flea one week from today at First Friday, and for the outdoor sound bath at Cherry Hill Park on Saturday!! We're also taking applications for our afterschool program starting Monday. (Applications start Monday, not the afterschool.) So watch out for that. ❤️

We almost have the whole team onboarded - almost! - so plan to come out and do some shopping or grab a drink next week! I also think I've found a place to do the floating sound baths! So more coming on that VERY soon. 🎉
