About 20,000 people enter the lottery each year to see the synchronous fireflies in the Smoky Mountains, and only 960 total passes were awarded this year.

If you are unfamiliar - here's a good article about them. Note: if you want to see them you have to spend time in the absolute dark, out in the woods. They don't come out until about 30 minutes after sunset.
