Texture grounds an outdoor design. For this setup, the brick archway at The Warehouse on the Canal was our canvas. By wrapping the structure in textured fabric, we created a design through-line that softened the open-air stone courtyard.

A consistent design thread keeps a wedding cohesive from start to finish. We intentionally plan design elements to be repurposed—maximizing impact and avoiding waste. When your design utilizes smart repetition, the space flips effortlessly into the next phase of the day.

Hot take: wedding dress codes have gotten a little… out of control.

When your guests need a flowchart, a Pinterest board, and a shopping list just to figure out what to wear, we’ve gone too far.

Our rules for a successful dress code:

1. Vibe over color palette.
Tell people the feeling you’re going for—not that they must wear “dusty blue, sage, or champagne.”

2. Freedom within the style.
Give a direction, then let people interpret it. Black tie can still look like them.

3. Clarity + reasonable expectations.
If it requires a 17-step explanation or asks guests to buy an entirely new wardrobe, reconsider.

Your guests should be thinking about how excited they are to celebrate you—not whether their shoes are “garden formal” enough. ✨

For Michelle + Chris’ wedding design, our focus was ORGANIC MOVEMENT inspired by their dedication to travel.

We used Japandi elements like foraged stone, wasabi colored linens and ikebana arrangements to complement the neutral space. A standout feature was the custom mesh sculpture suspended over their ceremony and dance floor that mimicked flowing water.

When the vision is aligned from the start, everything just falls into place.
