New York comedian Tyler Horvath’s laid-back observational stand-up style has been making people laugh around the country for more than a decade. His standup clips have attracted more than 100,000 followers and over 30 million views on social media, if you use that sort of thing.

Tyler was recently selected as a featured performer at the Flyover Comedy Festival. He has performed at comedy clubs across America and is a regular at the Laugh Factory and Zanies in Chicago, as well as New York Comedy Club in New York City.

Jason Balla [Dehd, Accessory] curated a line-up of some of Chicago’s youngest, hottest talent for this Month’s GREEN.

Uniflora is a post-punk dream. The teenage DIY group has been making waves as the all-ages Chicago band explosion [see Horsegirl, Lifeguard, Sharp Pins] shows no sign of slowing.

TV Buddha has been making a name for themselves playing that sometimes border on performance art. Their music is a series of echos from other genres like folk, powerpop, punk. Wholly their own sound but somehow always familiar.

She maybe the most prolific Chicago musician, Macie Stewart is a songwriter, arranger, performer who has quietly been a powerhouse behind the scenes.

Stewart is a sought-after collaborator performing and recording with Jeff Tweedy, Mannequin P***y, and Makaya McCraven. Macie’s own projects like her solo songwriting work, her improvised and creative music groups (often with partner Lia Kohl & Whitney Johnson), and the art rock band Finom have gathered accolades from around the country for this city.

In January, Macie will be spending the small window of time she has in town to set up every week in our cozy Tavern. In addition to collaborating alongside some of the best talent in the city, she’ll be performing four unique solo or duo sets of her own projects.

Assistant Venue Manager — Seeking a superstar to help lead our team and act as a venue representative interacting with event hosts and talent daily. Previous experience bartending AND managing a venue or large-scale hospitality business required. Flexible schedule with guaranteed weekly hours after training. Must be able to regularly work closing shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. Ideal candidates are active in Chicago’s art community, are creative problem-solvers, and excel at front-of-house service. Position will be paid hourly (+ tips) to start with lots of opportunities to grow!

Audio Visual Technician — Seeking an experienced technician to support our dynamic live programming. Must be comfortable working solo, communicating with talent and with all genres of performance (including live music, theater, film, comedy and more). Previous venue experience required. 3-4 shifts per week anticipated, hourly pay.
