I always enjoy hearing Chairman and CEO of Lowe's, Marvin Ellison speak at events. As the CEO of a small business, I find his nuggets of wisdom to have great depth while being relatable with a clear path to implementation. I was delighted to be invited to the Dean's Distinguished Speaker Series Event hosted by Johnson C. Smith University - JCSU. The invitation was extended to businesses like ours who were featured in the Charlotte Business Journal's 2025 Book of Lists.

Dr. Alphonso O. Ogbuehi and Marvin led an inspiring fireside chat, and the students asked such great questions.

Sending a shout out to one of the most premiere catering companies we have in Charlotte - QC Catering. Led by founder, Andrew who has a very humble spirit and origin story, along with a magnetic personality. This team is known for saying "yes" to event professionals and organizers, and finding creative ways to execute. The lovely Whitney Blumenthal invited Tya Bolton over to see the space and enjoy a chef prepared fresh salad while chatting through opportunities to collaborate. She was pleasantly surprised by the warm on screen greeting both in the lobby and the meeting room. These special touches go a long way.

What an honor and full circle moment! Seeing Cherie and Wisdom Jzar of Deep Roots CPS Farm, Chef Greg Collier and wife Subrina Collier featured on Top Chef Charlotte makes us so proud.
