Sleep in Heavenly Peace builds and delivers beds to local children who don’t have one.

On Saturday, their Charleston team walked the Rosemary and Rye team through the process, from sanding and assembling the frames to branding the finished wood. Together, we built 10 beds for kids in our community.

The build was funded through a portion of our online meal sales, so everyone who placed an order helped make it possible. Thank you.

SHP’s mission is simple: No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.

A spring wedding dinner on the banks of the Ashley River. Julia and Michael’s evening opened on a Burrata Salad with grilled seasonal fruit, local greens, and balsamic reduction. From there, guests chose between Steak Au Poivre or Local Catch in Beurre Blanc, each served alongside champagne risotto, potato pavé, and haricots verts with bacon and onion.

For dessert, roaming cannolis made their way through the reception with ricotta or chocolate filling and toppings like crumbled pistachios, mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, and powdered sugar. Signature cocktails kept it classic: margaritas, old fashioneds, and dirty martinis under the string lights all night long.

A quintessentially Southern wedding dinner for Lauren and Chris, tucked under the oaks in peak Charleston spring.

The meal began with a Fried Green Tomato Salad with arugula, crumbled goat cheese, pickled pepper, cornbread croutons, and balsamic reduction.

Followed by a choice between: • Shrimp & Grits with Tasso Ham Cream,
• Pecan-Encrusted Chicken Breast with Bourbon Maple Mustard Sauce, • Potato Encrusted Salmon with Smoked Tomato Beurre Blanc, • and Wild Mushroom Ravioli with Porcini Cream Sauce.
