Introducing Emily Lovato, our new Volleyball Coordinator! Emily is a familiar face around WYORVC and will be helping with all things volleyball at the WYO Sports Ranch 🏐 Learn a little bit more about Emily below:
How long have you been involved in the volleyball world?
"I’ve been playing volleyball since I was a young girl. Over the past six years, I’ve coached a variety of sports through the Natrona County School District, and have also coached multiple club teams. My experience ranges from coaching young U10/12 girls, to leading the first U10 Wyoming boys AAU team, to coaching a top U14 team in the WYO Sports Ranch program last year."
What excites you most about joining WYO Sports Ranch?
"I’m excited to help create meaningful opportunities for youth in sports. I hope to provide a space where kids can grow, develop their skills, discover new passions, and most importantly—have fun while learning and evolving as athletes."
What’s one piece of advice you give to every player you coach?
"Always approach the game with a positive mindset and be open to trying new things. Show up every day ready to improve, and focus on building up the teammates around you. A strong team is built when individuals are committed not only to their own growth, but to each other’s success."
What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
"I’m ambidextrous! Depending on the sport, I use a different dominant hand. In volleyball, it’s my left hand—but in basketball, it’s my right."
What do you hope to bring to the local volleyball community?
"I hope to continue developing athletes by helping them grow their skills, explore new positions, and discover a true love for the game. My goal is to foster an environment where players are encouraged to work hard, stay committed, and develop both as athletes and as individuals."
