Your photos will only be as good as how safe you FEEL in front of the lens.

And that’s not your job to figure out. That’s mine.

The best photographers aren’t just technically skilled. They’re present. They’re reading the room. They’re cracking a joke right before the shutter clicks (if you know me… you know imma say something ridiculous to get your genuine reaction), or moving you through a doorway so naturally you didn’t even realize I was posing you.

After 10 years and 250+ weddings across multiple countries and countless states, directing couples in a way that feels completely effortless is genuinely one of my favorite parts of this work. Because the moments I’m most proud of?
…Nobody was thinking about the camera.

i think about the couples who find me and i genuinely cannot believe i get to do this. kate and kyle live in moab, utah; one of the most staggeringly beautiful places on this earth + they chose to get married somewhere completely different, somewhere with street art and breweries and ocean-kissed air. there is something so boldly them about that decision. green bench brewery gave us everything. the brick. the light. the city buzzing around us like it knew what was up. one month later and i am still not over it.

I’ve photographed a lot of weddings but there was something different when those clouds rolled across the floor and these two locked eyes for their first dance and I felt it through my lens.

Karla, you were radiant. Daniel, the way you looked at her confirmed everything you said in your vows.

From the quiet details laid out that morning to the chaos and love of your people surrounding you; every frame of this day was a privilege to capture.

This one’s going to stay with me for a long time.
