Little known fact, I was born in Boston! Well, Dorchester to be specific. Here I am at 19 years old, sometime in the latter half of the 1980’s, with my 1967 Jazzmaster, after emerging from the Boston punk / hardcore scene and defiantly listening to Neil Young and growing my hair long. Kraftwerk, Mission Of Burma, The Swans, DAF, Big Black, Ministry…..all were hero’s that inspired me to make my own music.

I return to the stomping grounds of my youth next Thursday to play the 4 year anniversary of at .cambridge. So happpy has kept this Thursday night tradition alive after decades of so many amazing DJ’s playing this space.

On March 21st and 22nd and I will be bringing two nights of sound journeys to in NYC. Expect a 2 hour (or longer) sound journey that is part prayer, part meditation and part concert, entirely improvised with an ever evolving collection of instruments like flutes, gongs, synthesizers, handpans and loads of other esoteric instruments utilized to bring an atmosphere of novelty and exploration.
The human field is under an enormous amount of stress right now. This is chance to enter into a couple hours of respite and potentially filter out the noise in favor of healing or consciousness expansion or enjoying beautiful and otherworldly sounds.
We limited the number of tickets in order to have space for everyone to lie down. There are still a couple of tickets available for each night but once they sell out we will add more sessions if there’s enough interest.

Outside getting some winter modular sounds to use in my set this Friday, Feb 7! I’ll be playing open to close all night in the main room starting at 10:00pm. In the Bad Room will be Mexican legend of dark post punk-y vibes and Gabby Cocco.
February is typically a tough time in the city, it can be dark and cold, and these are difficultt times in general for many of us. So come in out of the cold desert of isolation and transcend with us for a night of musical transcendence leaning toward the psychedelic and outer reaches of the dance music universe, with everything from bird sounds to chuggy 105bpm bangers to Techno head melters.

Tomorrow, Saturday 10/19, is appearing in San Francisco in Golden Gate Park by invitation from the folks at .fyi. This is a real optimal setting for us and our flutes, harps, sparkling synths and nature sounds. And it’s free!

This will be a 2 hour live sound ceremony featuring flutes, gongs, handpans, spacy synths, and other esoteric instruments played in the spirit of 🍄 journeying.
