ON THE BLOG: Need a wedding officiant? Hitch Studio's ordained wedding planners can help with that!

If you called the Brookings County courthouse to get married and were told they don't do that anymore, you're not the first. Several South Dakota courthouses, Brookings included, have stopped performing marriage ceremonies — which is exactly why we started officiating at Hitch Studio! We can weave in some religious elements or not. We can add poems or readings or not. Our vows and scrips are perfectly custom to you.

Our certified wedding planners are ordained ministers in South Dakota, and we have a warm, private ceremony room at 406 Main Ave in Downtown Brookings where couples get married every week. Some come in on a Tuesday afternoon with two witnesses and a marriage license. Others book us to write and perform a full ceremony in front of 200 people at their venue, including a rehearsal. Both are welcome!

FUN FACTS:
1. Josh proposed to Karley with the same ring Karley's father gave to her mother.
2. Roses were used in the bridal party's floral arrangements in memory of the groom's father.
3. The bride and groom have known each other for 2,995 days (and now more!)

We LOVED your wedding day, Karley and Josh. It was special. It was fun. It was meaningful to those watching from heaven. (The wide-angle Aho family photo gained another beautiful addition on Saturday!!) 🤍
