Last night was a beautiful night to wrap up the show series we attended this year! ❤️🐴

I couldn’t be more proud of the growth, adaptability, sportsmanship, and grit these girls and boy have shown throughout the series.

They prayed for safe rides before every show, always put their horses first, and were consistently the loudest cheering section on the sidelines. They supported one another through the wins, the tough rides, and everything in between. And THAT is what makes me the proudest!

We even had a few High Point Champions and Reserve High Point Champions to sweeten the deal!

I am so incredibly proud of you kiddos. Watching you grow not only as riders, but as horsemen and young people, is what makes all the long days, late nights, and hard work worth it. ❤️

🎃🐴 Introducing BOO AT THE BARN! 👻🍂

We’re so excited to announce our upcoming mini camp, Boo at the Barn! We’re packing TWO hours full of fall fun, horses, and a little Halloween magic! 🧡

🎃 What can your kiddo expect?

• 🍂 Fall-themed games
• 🐴 Horse rides
• 🎨 Painting with horses
• 🚜 Hayrides
• 🔥 Maybe even a s’more or two!

We’re hoping to make this our BIGGEST mini camp yet! With that comes a few growing pains, including limited parking. 😅 You’re absolutely welcome to stay with your child during camp, but please keep the limited parking in mind.

Planning to drop off your kiddo and pick them up when camp is over? No worries! We’ll explain how our drop-off and pick-up process works when you reserve your spot.

🎟️ A deposit is required to secure your kiddo’s spot, so be sure to get signed up before we fill up!

We can’t wait to make some fall memories with y’all at the barn! 🎃🐴🧡

We’re excited to offer this new opportunity to our community and can’t wait to see how it grows!

Here’s what we’ll be learning in our first session:

📚 Classwork
• Horse anatomy

🐎 Hands-On Learning
• Grooming
• How to properly tie a halter and lead rope
• How to safely lead a horse
• Led horse rides

I’ve been kinda bummed lately because we’ve been doing a lot of road rides and pasture rides due to weather. I felt like I haven’t been “teaching” them enough.

But I sat back and really thought about it… and I realized I actually am teaching them. ❤️

• Independence - learning to control and communicate with their horse in a less controlled environment.

• Awareness - paying attention to their horse’s cues, their surroundings, and making sure they aren’t crowding the riders around them.

• Confidence - learning to handle things they may not encounter in the arena and trusting the tools they’ve already been given.

But most importantly, I’m teaching them that not every ride has to be challenging.

Sometimes you just need to enjoy the ride, breathe, take in your surroundings, and appreciate the horse underneath you. 🐴❤️

Because horsemanship isn’t always about learning something new. Sometimes it’s about learning to simply enjoy the journey.

Wednesday kiddos! Lessons are still on! It is a *tad* muddy 🙃 so wear shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Miss Kamryn and I will have an unmounted lesson planned!
