Calling all musicians in the Baltimore-Washington area! 📢

Applications are open for Strathmore’s Artists in Residence (AIR) Class of 2027, and we're seeking 6 exceptional artists ready for their next step.

This 10-month residency offers mentorship, professional development, paid performance opportunities, and creative support. Our AIR alumni have released acclaimed albums, earned national recognition, and toured internationally. 🌍

📣📣📣At our Nov 30th concert we'll be teaming up with the wonderful congregation at of Second Presbyterian Church to collect donations of new/gently used (and clean) winter clothes--coats, hats, scarves, gloves, etc! We're collecting items appropriate for all ages and sizes. Donations will be given to clients of Turnaround and the kids/families at Walter P. Carter School, and wherever else they are needed.

In addition to Baltimore Symphony Musicians, tomorrow's concert features the wonderful actress Maria Broom as narrator for a suite of Taiwanese folk songs! Nationally known as an actress for her recurring roles in HBO's “The Wire” and “The Corner,” Maria is also a storyteller and dancer with over forty years of performing and teaching in the US and globally. WELCOME TO OUR 39th SEASON!!!! 🎹🎻🥳🥳🥳
The twelve concerts on the 2025-26 season offer opportunities to enjoy jazz, classical, brass, vocal music, and more! From the Met Opera tenor Limmie Pulliam and collaborative pianist Mark Markham to Baltimore’s own world-famous jazz vibraphonist Warren Wolf to the acclaimed Merz Trio and locally beloved & internationally celebrated pianist Brian Ganz, the variety of this year’s guest artists is matched by their excellence.

In addition, we will continue to feature musicians from the Baltimore Symphony and the region in concerts pairing rarely performed gems alongside beloved chamber music repertoire.
