Music Before Everything | French - American Cultural Dialogue | September 19

We’re delighted to open our new season with an evening of music & visual art, featuring the work of French visual artist Noelle Imparato, PhD, founder of Painting For Life.

Enjoy music by beloved Baltimore musicians from Peabody Conservatory and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra: Shirley Yoo, piano, and Rene Shapiro, trumpet, featuring works by Beethoven, Gershwin, and J. G. Pennequin, with Ramilya Saubanova joining Rene and performing a piano work by American composer Daniel Crozier.

We were honored to celebrate Mother’s Day with the extraordinary, award-winning artist BIRCKHEAD and his band in a live contemporary jazz performance. Their music energized the room, lifted our spirits, and made the day truly unforgettable!

Hosted in partnership with Dawn and Keith at their historic home in Baltimore’s Hollins Market neighborhood, the evening continued a beautiful tradition of salon-style performances.

Union Square Soirée was honored to receive a grant in support of the presentation of Brent Birckhead. This engagement of Brent Birckhead was made possible in part through the Mid Atlantic Tours program of Mid Atlantic Arts with support from the National Endowment for the Arts in collaboration with Ibermúsicas.

On April 30, a delegation from Belarus visited Baltimore for a day trip under the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), in collaboration with the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) - the only organization working on this exchange program in Maryland.
The meeting explored the theme “Freedom of Expression as a Driver of Innovation and Economic Growth.” The delegation included artists, entrepreneurs, and art studio owners.
We, the Union Square Soirée team, were honored to be part of this event and meet all these wonderful and talented people from Belarus!
