Jamillah fell in love with the immediate gratification she got from people eating her baked goods. We specialize in cakes for all occasions, from just waking up to weddings. We do not have a retail shop to pull from

I never knew. Still don’t fully.

Some people have a five-year plan. I have a daily negotiation between dilly-dallying and making money.

Yesterday I got to do both at my Releaf pop up.

New friends. Old friends. A local food journalist wanting to know my story. And, of course, bread pudding in between.

That’s what I’ve always loved most about this work. Not only the creating, but knowing that something I made was at the center of someone’s moment.
