“I’m never buying grocery store flowers again! They just don’t last!”

A fellow customer came in the other day and shared this with us, and we know exactly what they’re talking about!

At Baker Floral and Botanicals, our flowers are specially processed and stored to help prolong the life of your blooms. In fact, one of our arrangements can last up to 5 days longer than grocery store flowers found around town.

When you’re purchasing and giving flowers, why not invest in something that lasts a little longer?

Come visit us at Baker Floral and Botanicals today and experience the difference! 🌸

One of the current buzzwords in the floral industry is “sustainability.” What that means to a florist really boils down to one main thing: floral foam.

You know it, that brick-sized green mass that can be whittled away to fit a container and keep stems exactly where you placed them.

Floral foam has been used, and sometimes over-used, as a tool of floral art, and there is now a growing focus on using it as sparingly as possible to reduce floral waste and make more sustainable choices in floral design.

Gladly, it has never been my go-to when prepping an arrangement. Vases with water are my first choice, and floral foam is used only on special occasions. 🌿

What’s new in the shop?

We just received our watercolor paint kits that pair with the Autumn watercolor workbooks we have for sale. These are a great gift for the new or seasoned artist.

Buy a set for someone you are thinking of today! It is sure to bring a smile. 🍁

Very rarely do I bring an arrangement home, but last weekend was an exception. My husband and I had our eldest home from college, and it seemed like as good a time as ever to splash some color across the dinner table.

Boy, did it make a difference! Not only did it start a good, long conversation about exactly what Mom is doing in her flower shop, but the littles got to explain how they help me and the little jobs they get to do.

So glad I made the decision to bring the flowers home. It was such a beautiful addition to mealtime. 🌻

One of our popular shop favorites is our collection of miniature colored vases. Each one features a unique shape and comes in beautiful shades of brown, pink, light blue, and clear.

They’re perfect for a single flower, a small sprig of greenery, or even a simple leaf clipping. Sold individually or as a set of five, they make a thoughtful housewarming gift or a charming addition to a nightstand, shelf, or holiday table.

Stop by and check them out today! We think you’ll love these little beauties!
