Last summer, Kendall Antonelli traveled across Ireland visiting cheesemakers, touring their farms and creameries, tasting plenty of cheese, and getting to know the people behind it all. 🇮🇪🧀

Now, those visits have made their way into the pages of culture magazine: the word on cheese! Kendall wrote and photographed an article called The Green Thread for their latest issue, sharing the stories of the cheesemakers she met, from the pioneers of Ireland’s artisan cheese movement to the next generation carrying it forward.

We’re so proud of Kendall and excited for y’all to read it! You can find the full article here: https://buff.ly/DE6CFcJ

Candy corn and French cheese? Nerds and chevre? 🍬🧀

There’s a lot more thought that goes into pairing Halloween candy with cheese than you might expect. So we asked our Head of Events, Matt, to walk us through how he puts together the pairings for our annual Halloween Candy & Cheese tasting!

Want to try them for yourself? Join us on Halloween, Saturday 10/31, at either our Hyde Park or South Lamar location! Tickets are still available at the link in our bio. 🎃

On Saturday, October 31, we're adding a little something extra sweet to your usual cheese shopping at our Hyde Park shop. While you're sampling cheeses at the counter, our Mongers will have some Halloween candy on hand to pair with what you're trying. We're curious to see which combinations end up being your favorites, and maybe you'll leave with a few ideas for your own Halloween celebrations!

We'll be pairing from 11am to 7pm, while supplies last. Costumes are welcome, and we'd love to see yours!

Happy Raw Milk Cheese Appreciation Day! 🧀

Today we're celebrating the farmers and cheesemakers who continue the long tradition of making cheese with raw milk, and the incredible diversity of cheeses that come from it!

We've got some incredible selections in our case right now, including Wrångebäck from Sweden, Flory's Truckle from Missouri, 1655 Gruyère from Switzerland, Chemin du Brûlé from Québec, and Great Hill Blue from Massachusetts. Stop by the shop to taste a few!

We’ve got a new permanent theme for Cheese Club: Monger’s Choice. Going forward, instead of choosing cheeses to fit a different theme each month, our Mongers are picking the cheeses we’re most excited about right now. The ones tasting especially good, the ones we can’t stop talking about, and the ones with stories we really want to share. It gives us more freedom to follow what’s tasting great and what feels most interesting in the cheese world each month, and get even more exciting cheese into the hands of our members. This month’s four are a pretty good place to start, and Casie’s here to give you a preview.

The temperatures finally dropped, so naturally, we're celebrating with a whole lot of melted cheese. Raclette is back on the calendar!
