Each year, the design for the annual Morris Gala is crafted to complement the works of the featured artist. This past year, we had the pleasure of taking inspiration from the work of John Petrey, a metal sculptor who has created dresses out of unconventional materials. Our team composed a look that incorporated sculpted floral gowns, metallic linen, saturated lighting, and vibrant floral compositions.

A memorable Spring weekend at the Ford Field and River Club, just outside of Savannah, GA.

The day was full of meaningful elements that made the celebration uniquely theirs.

• Cherry Blossoms, which were artistically seen on their wedding invitations, were crafted out of sugar and adorned their wedding cake.
• In honor of our groom’s heritage, a bagpipe was played to signal the end of cocktail hour and transition guests to the tent for dinner.
• Greens and blues interwove under the peaks of the sailcloth tent, tying a handsome tartan linen into their look.

We strive to craft a day that is personal and reflects the interests and history of our couples.

Cocktails and Dinner Al Fresco

A Masters dinner party inspired by our client’s beautiful Italian garden. Guests were greeted with passed champagne and the sounds of a live classical guitarist. The tables were illuminated with warm table lamps and candlelight, which seamlessly coordinated with the lighting we brought in to highlight the perimeter of the home.

We teamed up with our talented catering partners at Dennis Dean Catering to craft a custom menu and service for the evening that suited our client’s needs and vision. Menu elements included passed shrimp Provencale and caprese crostinis, grissini displayed along the tables, tagliatelle freshly tossed in lemon butter sauce served alongside grilled T-bone steaks that were carved to order, and finished with family-style limoncello, tiramisu, and cannolis.

Elements not pictured include a custom Paperless Post invitation and coordinating embossed napkins designed by our team at Charleston Street for a cohesive look from beginning to end.

Our team planned a dreamy, tented reception in the front lawn of the bride’s parents’ home featuring a bar that wrapped around a central tree, a breathtaking floral garland entry, and custom-painted chandeliers and stage fronts to complement the French blue accent linen.
