In October, think of iridescent stones whose multicolored appearance represents a sense of hope and creativity. It’s opal that was initially chosen as the birthstone for this month, a rainbow beauty that was first sourced in India.

A second mixed-color stone, tourmaline, was added to the autumn month. Found in Brazil in the 1500s, tourmaline is often mistaken for other stones like emeralds and rubies. We’re always up for palettes that combine a variety of hues to make an environment one of a kind.

Red out. Rise Up. Repeat. 🔥

There's nothing like a home opener in Atlanta, and we built the backdrop for all of it.

Red on red on red, from the florals to the lounge furniture to the tents overhead. Red leather seating made for a comfy pregame, while a football toss out on the lawn, and a band marching performance hyped up the Dirty Birds. We topped the centerpieces with custom RISE UP graphics, built a locker room photo moment with the helmets, megaphones, and pom-poms, and a chalkboard play wall complete with a goalpost for the full field effect. Add a few thousand fans in head-to-toe red, and the place had a real buzz well before kickoff. And of course, Freddy the Falcon!

Gameday is a production. Good thing that's our whole thing.

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month: Sam Sullivan

When a week of events goes sideways, Sam is the one who's already three steps ahead with a plan. He's the first to raise his hand for a last minute pickup, and the one who stays calm when the timeline's shifting or the pressure's climbing. He just keeps the whole team moving.

But what his teammates will mention isn't always the hustle. It's the humility. Sam leads quietly. He's quick to admit when he doesn't know something, quicker to go learn it, and quickest of all to pass the credit around. Ask him about a win and he'll tell you about everyone else who pulled it off.

That's the kind of teammate who makes the magic look easy, onsite and in the office alike, and who shows up for the people around him every single time.

Congratulations, Sam. We're lucky to have you!

Happy Birthday, Lishanda! 🎉

Lishanda is the person who shows up before you even have to ask. She's soft spoken and humble about it, but she sets the bar for what integrity looks like around here. She does the right thing when no one's watching, brings a can-do spirit to whatever lands on her plate, and somehow always finds a way to help beyond what her role asks of her.

We're grateful for you today and every day. Thank you for making this team better just by being part of it.

In Spring 2026, WM Events reached an important milestone. We realized that with the growth of our team, we had so many incredible people on staff that we could implement a recognition program and never run out of colleagues to honor. Thus, we launched our Employee of the Month program and recognized our inaugural honoree in May.

Some people bring the energy to a room. Alicia is the energy.

Happy birthday to the one whose laugh carries down the hall, whose care shows up in every last detail, and who does the hard work without ever losing the fun of it. She shows up fully, every single day, exactly as herself. No filter, no apologies, all heart.

We don't do ordinary around here, and neither does she. We're lucky to have her leading with love, laughter, and that unmistakable Alicia spark.

September's birthstone is sapphire, prized for its signature blue thanks to iron and titanium, though it also shows up in yellow, purple, orange, and colorless. Blue remains the classic pick, tied to wisdom, nobility, and truth. Sapphires are nearly as hard as diamonds too, ranking 9 on the Mohs scale. Never hard for us to work that energizing blue into an event.

Great design doesn't just fill a room. It transforms one.

We touched down at the Delta Flight Museum to design the 2026 Global Sales Excellence Award: a night built for the people who earned their spot on the honoree wall. A shimmering gold arch, tables dressed in Delta blue with white blooms and a glow that made every seat feel like first class. All of it staged beneath a real jet, surrounded by decades of Delta history.

Between the jets, the history, and the details, this one was a blast from concept to touchdown.
