I have to shout out and thank my guy D.J. Rawles one more time.
We’ve been following each other and supporting from afar for years, but about five months back a voice popped into my head that said, “Book Rawles as the first-ever Encore Springfield headliner.” Looking back now, that decision turned out to be one of the best I could’ve made.
He brought the energy, the charisma, and most importantly, the ability to bridge the gap between old and young — every generation in the room. This was actually my first time hiring talent from outside of Springfield to come in and showcase their skills, and I’m so glad I reached out.
From the very first phone call, I could tell I was dealing with an extremely humble brother — no ego, no spotlight chasing — just someone who genuinely wanted to make sure the party was a blast. And he did exactly that.
What most people don’t know is that Rawles also played a crucial role in helping facilitate my surprise engagement that night. I told him this behind the scenes, but it deserves to be said publicly: if it wasn’t for him knowing the plan, hopping on the mic, and directing traffic, people wouldn’t have been in the right place and the moment wouldn’t have been nearly as magical as it turned out to be.
Seriously — thank you, my brother, for being part of such a special milestone in my life. I’m grateful for you and I truly hope our relationship continues to flourish and grow as our careers ascend.
Give that man a follow — you’re definitely gonna wanna stay locked in to what he has cooking for 2026.🔥
