Our team has ~80 members who attend competitions held all over the Northeast and New England dancing at levels ranging from Newcomer to Pre-champ. Being on the team is as competitive as you want it to be, as everyone has different goals and aspirations. Tryouts are held at the beginning of fall and spring semester and we encourage everyone to come who has an interest in doing ballroom regardless o

f previous experience or not. Team members join with varying degrees of experience; some have been dancing their whole lives and others have never danced before tryouts.

It's an exciting time for UMBDT (especially our dear treasurer Shyla) UMass Gives is fast approaching!! This is an opportunity for our team to get some extra funding and for team members, alums, and family to show their love for ballroom dancing at UMass! Be sure to donate during the power hour and feel free to reach out with any questions. This team is so dear to us and we hope to expand accessibility and opportunities with your generosity
