✨ Working at a dream venue ✨
The Hangar in Latham, NY, is one of the most unique spaces I’ve had the chance to design in. This 8,000 sq. ft. aviation-themed venue combines industrial character with vintage charm — from authentic airplane parts to World War II military aircraft displays. With its soaring ceilings, open hangar doors overlooking the runway, and planes taking off in the backdrop, the atmosphere is nothing short of dramatic. It’s a setting that blends industrial strength with elegant details, making it the perfect canvas for a bold celebration.
For this milestone birthday, my client poured their heart into making it unforgettable. We chose a timeless black, ivory, and gold palette — masculine yet refined — with neutral floral centerpieces designed to complement the grand scale of the venue. A dramatic 24ft staircase garland instantly transformed the entrance, and by evening, golden lighting gave the entire hangar a warm, glowing ambience with just the right touch of industrial edge.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the constant support of my husband — always my biggest cheerleader behind the scenes. 💕
