What a packed weekend of racing across New York! Our crew handled six events over two days, putting in a full effort across multiple locations.

Here’s where we were:
SaturdayοΏ½β€’ Greene County Triathlon – Coxsackie, NY
Held as a biathlon (no swim) this year. Organized by a branch of the Capital District YMCA, with proceeds supporting local community programs, family resources, and health initiatives.
β€’ Malta 5K presented by Global Foundries – Malta, NY
Timed around the anniversary of September 11th, this race benefits local non-profits that serve, protect, and support veterans and first responders.
β€’ Run for Recovery 5K & 10K – Watertown, NY
Supporting individuals navigating addiction recovery by providing resources, peer support, and essential services to help rebuild lives.
β€’ Run the Runway 5K – Schenectady, NY
A unique 5K on the runways and taxiways of Schenectady County Airport, home of the 109th Airlift Wing, with a kids fun run and free museum admission.

SundayοΏ½β€’ Caring Together Teal Run 5K – Albany, NY
Raising awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research, early detection efforts, and support programs for survivors and families.
β€’ Arsenal City Run – Charlie Diamond 5K – Watervliet, NY
A long-running community event renamed in honor of its founder, with proceeds supporting the City of Watervliet Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program.

Huge appreciation to the AREEP crew for handling a busy six event weekend, rain and shine, and delivering solid race experiences. Thanks as well to the volunteers and organizers who played a big part in making it all come together.

The β€œfall” racing season is underway! Our crew was out supporting three strong events across the Capital Region on Saturday.

Here’s where we were:

β€’ Silks & Satins 5K – Saratoga Springs, NY
The Jeff Clark Memorial 5K benefits Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, which provides second careers for retired racehorses and supports equine-assisted mental health and wellness programs.

β€’ Run 4 The River Half Marathon – Schenectady, NY
A point-to-point net downhill half marathon along the Empire Trail with a lively post-race party at Frog Alley featuring free beer, food, and live music.

β€’ Neil Emanatian Memorial 5K – Saratoga Springs, NY
Supporting active and retired Saratoga Springs firefighters and their families facing job-related illnesses and disabilities through the Firefighters Cancer & Disability Foundation.

Big thanks to the AREEP team for covering three races and keeping everything on track. We also appreciate the volunteers and organizers who helped make each event a success.

What a fun Saturday of racing in the historic city of Hudson!

Here’s where we were:
β€’ Hudson Mile – Hudson, NY
A fast, point-to-point, net-downhill USATF-sanctioned mile on Warren Street. Runners raced a straight shot through downtown, finishing near Promenade Hill Park with views of the Hudson River. The event featured men’s, women’s, and youth races and partnered with local organizations to support youth fitness.

Huge thanks to the AREEP team for keeping everything running smoothly! A big thank you as well to the volunteers and race organizers who helped make the day a success.
