🚨 WOW! What a few months it’s been! 🚨
Since opening our doors to the Whakatāne community, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of celebrating over 40 birthday parties in our party room – and even more tamariki coming through for laser tag as their ultimate birthday activity! 🎉
We’ve suited up and briefed 1,080 laser tag recruits (not including birthday party players!), had 214 racers and pilots take the wheel in our racing and flight simulators, and cheered on 53 brave gamers who took on skyscrapers, zombies, and the beat in our VR zone 🕹️🧟🎶
And it doesn’t stop there…
Our mobile battlefield is on the move – with school camps, end-of-term and end-of-year bookings already lining up! We bring the laser tag action to schools, galas, and fundraising events – anywhere, anytime!
We’re proud to support our community too, donating vouchers to awesome causes like 'Have a Heart', the Derby Carts, and various schools for rewards and incentives 🎁💛

Last night, our business was broken into.
We walked into a mess of damage, destruction, and loss — both in the things taken and in the time and love we’ve poured into this place.

We started this business with a simple hope: to bring something fun and meaningful to a town that needed it. We’ve spent late nights working, opened on demand even when we were meant to rest, and missed out on precious family time with our young kids — all so this place could exist.

To walk in and see it trashed… it hurts in a way that’s hard to explain. It’s not just the broken things. It’s the feeling that everything we’ve worked for was treated like it didn’t matter.

Yes, there’s insurance — but that doesn’t cover the hours lost to paperwork, the weeks waiting for claims, or the income we rely on. It definitely doesn’t cover the emotional toll.

There’s a part of you that, after something like this, asks: Why are we doing this?

But we know why — it’s for the joy we’ve seen in kids' faces, the families making memories, and the support from people who’ve believed in us from the start.

So we’re not quitting.
We’ll be open this weekend. Laser tag will still be running. Some of our sims will be up with what we’ve got left. It won’t be perfect, but it will still be us — showing up, holding on, and doing our best.

We’d love to see the support of our community this weekend — not just to lift our spirits, but to help us keep going. Your presence truly makes a difference, and right now, it means everything. 💛
