MANZOR BLUE 👑, our long-distance queen is all set for her Australian debut in the Gr.2 Ladbrokes Moonee Valley Gold Cup (2500m) at Flemington tomorrow (6.20pm NZ time).

A win tomorrow would guarantee her a place in the A$10 million Gr.1 Lexus Melbourne Cup (3200m), the race she is being aimed toward.

Trainer Lisa Latta has her in top shape for the race and she will jump from barrier with fellow Kiwi Michael Dee in the saddle.

Awapuni trainer Lisa Latta Racing picked up her first black-type success for the 26/27 season over the weekend. Taking out the Group 3 Sweynesse Stakes with the speedy Platinum Attack.

Partnered with champion jockey Opie Bosson, the 6YO gelding was given a perfect run in transit before hitting the front with 150m to go. Eased down over the concluding stages, Platinum Attack proved far too good for his rivals, scoring a commanding and comfortable victory.

Congratulations to Lisa and the team on a fantastic result!

Go well team Lisa Latta Racing, who have stable star, Platinum Pantheon tackling the Listed Silver Eagle tomorrow at Randwick.

Being handed the visitors draw (12) may not be a bad thing this time around as heavy track conditions are expected and with in form jockey Zac Lloyd in the saddle he is going to get ever opportunity to be right in the finish.

All the best team!

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we at RACE encourage everyone across New Zealand racing to take a moment to check in with those around them. A simple conversation, a listening ear or asking someone how they’re doing can make a real difference.
