Here's some more detail on the Anzac Service in Ophir on Saturday.
There will be a parade which is a tradition, beginning at Pitches Store walking towards the Ophir Peace Memorial Hall. Led by horse riders then members from the Omakau Volunteer Fire Brigade, children from the local schools, Service Group members and general public who wish to march, the parade will leave Pitches at 9:45am.
The Service will be conducted outside the main doors of the Hall and will commence at 10:00am led by Mr. Nobby Clark. The official part of the service will include the raising of both the Australian and New Zealand flags with the national anthems and memorial tunes. Wreaths will be laid under the two flag poles. Following the official service everyone is invited to move into the Hall for a brief Anzac Day speech by our Guest Speaker. The school children have prepared posters remembering the Anzac soldiers and these will be placed around the walls.

Omakau and Ophir Anzac Service, be at the Ophir Hall by 9.30am Saturday to remember the sacrifices of those who served.
