A few magical moments from the Special Children’s Extravaganza 2026

We feel so lucky to have such a wonderful team who are so generous in coming along and always happy to be part of sharing a little extra magic on such a wonderful day. 💖

The Special Children’s Extravaganza is an event we absolutely love being part of each year. There are so many smiles, laughs, hugs, high-fives and beautiful little moments of connection throughout the day.

There’s something pretty special about the power of a story. ✨📖

Stories give little imaginations somewhere to wander, dream and believe in a little bit of magic.

And we love being able to sprinkle it all together… the stories, the characters, the adventures and the magic, and bring it into their world. 🧚‍♀️✨

We loved hearing that this little one reads Sparkles and the Magic of Believing every night, and that one of her favourite things is being able to meet the fairies she reads about. 💕

And I think that’s what Be Magical is all about.

Our stories are meant to be more than told… they’re meant to be imagined, believed in and lived. ✨

There are adventures to be had, dancing to be done, new friends to meet… and according to Kristoff, there had better be cake! 👀🍰

Adding a second character brings a whole extra layer of magic to the celebration. More interaction, more fun, more playful moments between the characters, and even more ways to make the story feel as though it has truly come to life. ✨

Because sometimes, one magical visitor is wonderful… but two can turn it into a whole new adventure. ❄️💙

Fairy Petal and Fairy Flutterwing fluttered off on a very special adventure to help our birthday girl celebrate her magical day! 🌸🦋

With fairy games, giggles, wishes and plenty of sparkle, they helped create a little bit of birthday magic for her and all her friends. ✨💖

Because when two fairies arrive at your party… you know there’s going to be a little extra mischief and a LOT of magic! 🌈🧚‍♀️✨

Sparkles flew into the More FM studio to join Ken and Crez on the Breakfast Show, bringing a little fairy mischief and plenty of sparkle with her. ✨

They chatted about Sparkles and the Magic of Believing, what makes the story a little bit special, and how children get to become part of the adventure themselves.

And of course, Sparkles couldn’t possibly visit without leaving a little magic behind… 👀💎

There’s also a chance to WIN some very special Sparkles treats! 🌈✨

We’re keeping a tiny bit of fairy dust over the details for now… but let’s just say there are some rather magical goodies involved. 🧚‍♀️💖

Because apparently simply appearing on the radio wasn’t quite enough for one fairy… 😂✨

It is always such a joy to be part of something positive happening in our community. 💖✨

We loved bringing a little Be Magical fun to West End Te Kura Ō Mōrere and being part of this wonderful initiative supporting children and their oral health.

Community is about people coming together, sharing what they can and making a difference, and we are always very grateful when Be Magical gets to play a little part in that. 🥰✨

✨ “You made their day.” ✨

We were lucky enough to have this beautiful photo shared with us, and we wanted to share it with you too ✨ because it captures something that is at the very heart of what we do. 💖

“You made their day” is something parents say to us often, and I don’t think we will ever stop loving hearing it.

It’s so special because, underneath all the costumes, characters, laughter and fun, there is something even more important happening.

It’s about how they felt.

They felt seen.

They felt noticed.

They felt important.

They felt like, for that little moment, the magic was just for them. ✨

And for that child, it can become the moment they talk about all the way home, tell everyone about the next day, and remember long after it is over.

When a parent tells us, “You made their day,” that means more than they probably realise.

Because that is exactly what we love to do. 💖✨
