Lovefest is returning to Golden Bay for a summer weekend of nature, music, and real community, held at Tui Events Park in Wainui Bay, New Zealand, surrounded by Abel Tasman National Park and close to an incredible swimming beach. ❤️

I'll be sharing some Latin Dance aroha with Cuban flavours. Connection through Rueda de Casino. 🇨🇺 Come and have some fun whiles dancing 🎶

Join us in the courtyard for a musical treat with Culture Embassy – a 10-piece NZ band fusing African, Reggae/Ska, Jazz and Afro-Latin rhythms. A carnival of ethnic diversity and collaboration of culturally inspired sound.

Doors open at 6:30 pm. Fairfield pop up bar will be operating, alongside Cultural Conversations - Her Business Journey selling delicious empanadas and/or arepas + sweet treats. Please support by purchasing a ticket with the $15 food add-on :)

What a blast!

Step into the world of the Orishas — the powerful deities of the Yoruba tradition whose stories travelled from Africa to Cuba through rhythm, DANCE, and spirit at Coalesce: A Co-Created Gathering

In this workshop, we explore Afro-Cuban movement inspired by sacred energies (gods). Through guided movement, rhythmic play, and cultural storytelling, participants will connect with their bodies, their breath, and the deeper emotional worlds these dances represent.

No dance experience is needed — just an open heart and a love for rhythm. This is an invitation to honor another culture with respect, to connect with self, and to experience dance as a bridge between earth, ancestry, and community.
