Meet Christopher Willmott

His work is bold, considered and full of contrast, proof that how you see is just as important as what you see. (Chris is colour blind).

It's the perfect fit for our next exhibition, because for Christopher it truly is not all black and white.

Chapter1 is proud to present COLLUSION, a collaborative show by . Joe Clarke

Chapter1 was built to be a home for artists, and this show is exactly why. Over the past few years Dark Ballad has carved woodblocks with more than 20 fine artists, tattooists and graffiti writers. Now that whole body of work comes together under one roof. We couldn't be prouder that it's ours.

This is what supporting local art looks like: artists backing each other, a space that backs them, and a community that turns up. Come see the original carved woodblocks, the framed prints and the one off shirts, and meet Joe Clarke, who's emense talent and outstanding skill has bought this all together.

Opening night: Friday 20 November, 6pm
Running until Sunday 29 November
📍 Chapter1 Gallery, 95 Orbell St, Christchurch

There's more to come too: workshops the first Sunday and second Saturday and an indepth artist talk with .

How far will I go for my artists? 🚐🎨
Meet Adam, our cargo van for the day. My phone unlocked him, I jumped in, raced to the framers, collected Hayley Henderson's VERY large new pieces, drove them back to Chapter1, unloaded and returned Adam… all in 60 minutes. ⏱️
Not a scratch. Five stars, Adam. Thanks Cityhop 💚
And where are these beauties going? Into our next exhibition 👀
