Just to let you know given the impact that the Covid-19 virus is having on the world along with current restrictions on traveling and group gatherings put in place by the government which applies to some of our venues and resorts.

Little sunset snap of our table at the Bride of the year last weekend, I have been exploring the road of dried flowers. After making gorgeous bouquets, I’ve been laying them about my house to dry! My favourites are the red berries we used to create a Forrest garden around our lovely tree! 🌳

If there is anyone out there that is wanting to get into photography, celebrant, beauty etc for weddings let us know. We have opportunities for beginners that need that chance to break into wedding areas and enhancing their port folios.

Who saw this in the Blenheim Sun??
I would now like to officially let you all know that I have sold Marlborough Weddings and Events to Roxanne Phipps. She is going to continue offerring great wedding packages as well as being able to add in catering options as well!

Now is a good time to say a huge thank you to everyone that has supported me over the last few years - whether it was recommending me, booking with me, helping me out with setting up or packing up all in all just helping me get to where I got!

I look forward to watching the business continue to grow with the great plans that Roxanne has!

It is that time of year when the planning begins for the annual Giesen Sports and Events Centre open day..... so time to ask you, when is the best time to have it and what do you want to see?
What if I was to run a competition and have the open day on the Saturday and let someone have the reception venue and set up at no charge on that evening? (Conditions would apply)

Love coming home from a wedding knowing everyone had a great time! Such a lovely bridal couple who enjoyed their evening mingling with guests. A great family whom acknowledged the work involved with putting together such an awesome day and friends who enjoyed and celebrated the perfect day with the bridal couple!

What would be 1 piece of advice any of my brides that are now married would have for those walking the path of planning their big day?

My number 1 would be communication! Communication is sooo important and it doesn't matter whether it is with your partner or those that are helping with your big day! All of us in the industry work so many weddings a year we understand how stressful the time is and what is involved with putting together the perfect day but we cannot nail that perfect day unless you let us know exactly what you want!

And because I can my second piece of advice is enjoy, relax, and just cherish every moment of that day. So much work has come to making this day happen don't forget to enjoy it yourself!
