Brunch at the new Chrismann at The Trading Post in Swakopmund was an absolute highlight and a true celebration of thoughtful cooking.
I ordered the Eggs Benedict, served on a beautifully baked sourdough croissant instead of the traditional English muffin. The croissant was buttery, light, and wonderfully crisp, adding an incredible crunch that elevated every bite. The eggs were perfectly poached, while the hollandaise was rich, velvety, and beautifully balanced.
The homemade onion pickles added just the right amount of acidity to cut through the richness, and the generous scattering of freshly grown microherbs brought freshness, aroma, and vibrant colour to the plate. Every component had a purpose, creating a dish with an exceptional balance of flavour, texture, and presentation.
Combined with warm, attentive service, this was one of the finest breakfast experiences I've had in Namibia. If you appreciate food crafted with skill, passion, and attention to detail, Chrismanns is an absolute must when visiting Swakopmund.
