⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely WOW!

Yozu is something truly special and, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I have had in Windhoek and in Namibia.

From the moment you walk in, the beautiful décor and atmosphere set the scene for an exceptional experience. The restaurant is stylish, welcoming and absolutely stunning.

The food was outstanding. The Asian flavours were spot on, with a menu that is interesting, exciting and refreshingly different from the other Asian restaurants in Windhoek. The ingredients tasted beautifully fresh and authentic, and every dish had the perfect balance of flavour, freshness, texture and crunch.

Even the desserts were exceptional and finished the meal perfectly.

The service deserves a special mention. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive, and the service was impressively fast. In fact, it was some of the best service I have experienced in Namibia.

Beautiful surroundings, fantastic food, fresh ingredients, exciting flavours and excellent service - Yozu gets everything right.

Absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend Yozu highly enough. A wonderful new addition to Windhoek’s restaurant scene! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Happy International Chefs Day! 🍴
To the lecturers who teach with patience, high standards and the occasional “taste it again”: thank you for shaping the chefs of tomorrow.

To our students, who show up early, survive the heat of the kitchen and plate it up with pride: you are already the real deal.

And to every chef out there, in busy restaurants, hotel kitchens and home kitchens: the long hours, the burns, the sore feet and the love you put into every plate don’t go unnoticed.

Today, we celebrate you. 🥂

At The Purple Fig we teach students why store-bought spice blends will never compete with something you made yourself - the flavour, the freshness, the control over every ingredient.
