Yesterday was a day of two halves with an afternoon wedding and a very special
evening Celebration Of Life that I had the honour to hold for a beautiful and very special soul stopped far too early in her tracks of achieving all she wanted.
Sara had an effervescent zest for life, exuded warmth and effortlessly drew people in. She was very spiritual and didn’t want “a funeral, nor solemnity”.
As such, a nature based farewell was created for her; a first for me and Jersey and along the lines of her wedding celebration ceremony I have the privilege to conduct a couple of years ago.
Focusing on the elements; earth, water, fire and air, symbolic objects were brought forward by guests accompanied by blessings, poems and songs especially chosen.
At the end, before a special Cacao ceremony around a fire-pit, under the stars, everyone was invited to hold a crystal, anoint themselves with water, light a candle and spray blessing mist around them while bidding their own personal farewells.
“…from the bottom of my heart a thousand thank yous, your ceremony and words crafted in Sara’s honour and the delivery so well executed and meaningful…”
“…the ceremony you held was so so beautiful and the LOVE in the yurt was glowing”
“Thank you. It was such a special ceremony for Sara and your words were perfect”
