Lovin’ the rocks! This heart shaped beauty is actually two different coastal cliffs joining together at Praia da Marinha.

And the little white 16th century Chapel Nossa Senhora da Rocha is a really sought after wedding venue - two a day held here and still a 3 year wait! What an amazing place to marry on a cliff top overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. And two love birds to top it off 💙🐦 💒 🌊

Yesterday was a day of two halves with an afternoon wedding and a very special
evening Celebration Of Life that I had the honour to hold for a beautiful and very special soul stopped far too early in her tracks of achieving all she wanted.

Sara had an effervescent zest for life, exuded warmth and effortlessly drew people in. She was very spiritual and didn’t want “a funeral, nor solemnity”.

As such, a nature based farewell was created for her; a first for me and Jersey and along the lines of her wedding celebration ceremony I have the privilege to conduct a couple of years ago.

Focusing on the elements; earth, water, fire and air, symbolic objects were brought forward by guests accompanied by blessings, poems and songs especially chosen.

At the end, before a special Cacao ceremony around a fire-pit, under the stars, everyone was invited to hold a crystal, anoint themselves with water, light a candle and spray blessing mist around them while bidding their own personal farewells.

“…from the bottom of my heart a thousand thank yous, your ceremony and words crafted in Sara’s honour and the delivery so well executed and meaningful…”

“…the ceremony you held was so so beautiful and the LOVE in the yurt was glowing”

“Thank you. It was such a special ceremony for Sara and your words were perfect”

A wedding first in these gorgeous grounds for Mr and Mrs Moisan! Cute flower girls and a very patient page boy, beautiful live vocals and a saxophone walk out topped it off perfectly for Harry and Rachel before they joined guests for drinks and canapés in front of the manor ahead of dinner in the walled garden.

What a fun wedding!

A few last minute panics and looming dark clouds didn’t deter the relaxed and happy vibe which was heartfelt with lots of laughter and happy tears from all.

Family is key for these Harriet and Rufus and those loving foundations for many happily married years together so clearly shone through.

Their little niece, Ava, was the proudest little ring bearer with just best ring bearing march that you could never forget💍 💖

A Pink Panther entrance and a handfasting cord was especially made of lobster pot rope and ribbon to represent the groom’s love of the sea and the bride’s love of pretty things. 🙂

Harriet’s ring was Rufus’ mum’s (given to her by her grandma) who married on this day in 1991 and a special flag banner was created and hung (no mean feat) by the groom’s dad.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Scholefield! 🥂

New kid on the block (lots of these incoming and this is the first!)

Any sayings you’d particularly like let me know!

Also how gorgeous would big ones of these be with your pressed wedding bouquet flowers with names and dates in the middle?! Just saying!!

My first wedding in a labyrinth and possibly a first for Jersey too!

An ancient and intricate pattern and a powerful symbol in spiritual practices, walking a labyrinth is often seen as a metaphor for life’s journey so perfect for a married couple to reflect on their together journey to date and their future wedded path to come.

The heart shaped design was created (and recreated last minute after the thunderstorm!) by the very talented Justine (Inner Space Journeys) especially for Kevin and Jules’ wedding celebration.

The May Day Beltane wedding was their 3rd in two weeks (!) after a legal ceremony on St George’s Day before and another celebration with family and friends in the UK.

The Pagan-like ceremony comprised a handfasting with a cord made of red and white - to represent Jules’ Yorkshire roots - and green for Kevin’s Irish ancestry.

And we closed with a jumping of the broom, decorated with the hem of Jules’ wedding dress, symbolising stepping into a new married life by taking a leap of faith partnershipping together.

So unique and so much personal detail 💕

Mel’s waited 10 years to become Mrs Baines and she was so excited to be marrying her childhood sweetheart. She and Chris met at Highlands when they were 16 and both just knew then they were the one. A couple so much in love and last night was their first night apart in all that time! Lilac and white was the theme and I had a jacket to match perfectly 🙂. Melissa looked stunning in her dress and full veil, not often seen these days, and there was’t a dry eye among the guests as she made her entrance. 💜👰🤵🏼💍🥂

“We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love…” Dr Seuss

Gorgeous spring blooms, saxophonist and soloist Liberty, the cutest flower girl and a last minute dinosaur addition to the flower petals topped off a lovely intimate ceremony for Bella and Chris. All set in a lovely marquee in the garden of a family home. 💖
