Hari Ganga Niwas, Haridwar- IHCL SeleQtions made arriving feel like part of the experience itself. The last stretch took us by rickshaw through Haridwar’s bustling markets and tiny lanes before opening into what felt more like a home by the Ganga than a hotel. From the traditional welcome and ghat inspired design to Matsya Seva, sacred coin offerings and a new story of the Ganga left by the bedside each night, everything felt deeply connected to Haridwar.

A generous vegetarian Shekhawati dinner and soft live music rounded off an experience that felt authentic to its setting. For us at Shreem Events, Hari Ganga Niwas lends itself beautifully to an intimate wedding or milestone celebration, where Haridwar becomes part of the itinerary through its rituals, flavours, lanes and, of course, the Ganga.

Anand Kashi by the Ganges, Rishikesh - IHCL SeleQtions had us slowing down before we even started thinking about the wedding. With the Ganga alongside, intimate spaces, luxury tents, a quiet temple, beautiful river facing sit outs and a deck made for lingering over breakfast, the property felt less like a hotel and more like a home by the river.

We loved how the experience extended into the smaller details too, especially Anand Kashi’s collaboration with Forest Essentials, where wellness and signature sensory touches like Mist over the River felt completely connected to the setting. For us at Shreem Events, this is the kind of place where a wedding could unfold gently: a temple blessing, intimate celebrations by the Ganga, long meals, slow mornings and enough time to simply enjoy where you are.

Taj Rishikesh Resort & Spa had us thinking beyond the usual destination wedding almost instantly. Because when you have the Ganga flowing alongside, misty mornings, Garhwali warmth, Pahadi flavours and little rituals woven into your stay, it feels almost unfair to come here and simply do a wedding.

We loved the idea of letting Rishikesh become part of the itinerary. A sundowner that flows into Ganga Aarti, a sangeet under the open sky, morning yoga or sound healing followed by breakfast, local flavours in between and a wedding with the Ganga in view. Even the smaller experiences, from the Saanj ritual to Pisyun Loon and thoughtful in room rituals, made the stay feel rooted in where we were.

For us at Shreem Events, that is what makes Taj Rishikesh special. You come here to celebrate a wedding, but somewhere along the way, the destination becomes an experience of its own.

There’s something special about discovering more of our own country and the incredible destinations it holds for celebrations. A little “apna desh dekho” moment for us, because a planner rarely checks into a hotel and sees just a hotel. We see a wedding weekend waiting to happen!

At Taj Mussoorie Foothills, Dehradun, Dehradun, it was the contrasts that stayed with us. The scale of a destination celebration, yet the quiet of the mountains. Contemporary luxury, yet a welcome deeply rooted in Uttarakhand with Tulsi malas, local craft and thoughtful details that immediately gave the experience a sense of place.

Then came the planner instinct. Lawns waiting to be imagined, a ballroom ready to transform, poolside afternoons at Tropics, dinners at Zhen Zhu and enough around the destination to make the days between celebrations feel considered too. There is a certain spiritual calm here that the mountains bring effortlessly, while the property gives us the scale and versatility to build around it.

The reception x cocktail x after-party went from a rainy, chaotic Mumbai night to a star-studded celebration of Anshula & Rohan. ✨

Behind the scenes, though, it was quite the story.

It was one of Mumbai’s rainiest days—trucks were delayed, roads were flooded, and setups had to be reworked within hours. Plans changed, timelines shifted, and we were constantly finding solutions on the go.

But the brief stayed simple: keep the chaos behind the scenes and let the magic stay indoors.

And that’s exactly what we did.

While we handled the rain, logistics, vendors and last-minute changes, guests walked into a night of glamour, music, cocktails and celebration—with the industry coming together to raise a glass to the newlyweds.

Because the best kind of wedding planning is when the guests have no idea how much went wrong behind the scenes. They just remember how much fun they had. 🥂✨
