🏆 Great news from our friends at Bradley International Airport - BDL!

Bradley Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, Connecticut has just received major industry recognition for its brand-new Inline Baggage Screening Facility — and the improvements are ones your clients will genuinely notice.

The $250 million upgrade has:
✅ Reduced congestion in the terminal lobby
✅ Improved passenger flow throughout the airport
✅ Added three brand-new gates
✅ Expanded seating and passenger amenities

As TTR — the official Irish representative for Bradley International Airport — we're proud to shout about this one. BDL is already one of the most stress-free airport experiences in the United States, and it just got even better.

And the best part for your clients? Aer Lingus flies direct from Dublin to BDL daily this summer. No transatlantic chaos. No massive hub. Just a smooth, easy arrival into the heart of New England — Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and beyond.
If you're not already recommending BDL to clients heading to New England, now is a great time to start.

It was a pleasure to be in Belfast this week at The Big Event, Northern Ireland’s leading travel trade event, supporting our client Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. and Stacey Hutchinson, Senior Business Development Officer for BTMI UK.

Over two busy days at the Crowne Plaza Belfast, we had the opportunity to meet with travel agents, tour operators, homeworkers and industry partners from across Northern Ireland, sharing the latest news and updates from Barbados.

A particular highlight was Tuesday’s Speed Networking event, where Stacey and I met with approximately 80 travel agents and discussed the excellent access to Barbados via London, with strong connections from Belfast.

It was also great to catch up with a number of BTMI’s valued trade partners, including British Airways, Sandals, and of course Jonathan Adair and the team at NI Travel Trade News & Events, who did an excellent job organising the event.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us. We look forward to continuing to work with the Northern Irish travel trade and supporting Barbados in the Irish and Northern Irish markets.

Barbados Prime Minister Opens New Embassy in Dublin 🇧🇧

🏝️ 🌊 ☀️ 🍹 ✈️

The Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, was in Dublin on Monday to officially open the new Embassy of Barbados in Ireland, marking a significant milestone in strengthening ties between the two countries.

The event was hosted by Barbados’ Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Cleviston Haynes, with Elan Mottley-Harris, Director of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. UK and Ireland Office, also in attendance.

Barbados is this year celebrating the 60th anniversary of its independence and its fifth anniversary as a republic. In her remarks, Prime Minister Mottley highlighted the importance of strengthening tourism links between Ireland and Barbados, referencing the seasonal Aer Lingus service. She also emphasised the reciprocal benefits of tourism and the role it plays in deepening cultural and economic ties.

Encouraging further collaboration, she noted that both countries should continue to develop the tourism market, stating that “we owe it to our ancestors, and we owe it to our children,” adding that the long-standing relationship between the two nations “must stand for something.” She also highlighted the strength of economic ties, noting that Irish investment in Barbados now exceeds that of Britain.

The opening of the embassy underlines Barbados’ commitment to the Irish market and is expected to support continued growth in visitor numbers and trade engagement.
