You know what is really getting on my wick at the moment is my lack of space and lack of natural light🤣 I get to the end of making a wedding that I pour my heart and soul into and I don’t have a clear space or a clear wall to photograph the products -not to mention the natural light disappearing around 3pm🤣 so here you have my glorious kitchen chair with seat cushion from Dunnes and my solus kitchen bulb(prob from the local garage) making carnage of a product photo🤣 and a random voiceover from dynasty because I couldn’t be bothered to curate a better one😆😆 you’re welcome💕💕💕 🤣🌸💕

So lovely to be tagged in this post ! I really love working with local flower farmers as much as I can - I mean just look at these stunning flowers from Petra at Square Garden 💕🌸

Creativity

There are so many different elements to this life of flower farming. It all started for me as a love for gardening and being in nature and living with the seasons.

Now a couple years on I am really enjoying the creative side Floristry has added to my work.

Putting on all these different hats can be challenging at times....... But the diversity of work on the other hand is so rewarding.

Making connections with other florists and people that love flowers is another part of this work that I really appreciate. It is such a pleasure to harvest our flowers and have other creatives use them as their pallet. This photo is from Grainne made this gorgeous arrangement with As I'm Dutch I thought the Dutch style arrangement /photograph is appropriate 😉
We are very happy as well to be supplying weekly for their Irish grown bouquet options. It's nice to realise that customers are starting to ask for Irish flowers!

I love making Buttonieres/buttonholes - I mean not at the hundredth hour or last minute because they are fiddly so not to be made under stress😂 I made these in advance of the wedding as they were preserved flowers so needed no water -and the rose looks so fresh! Aidan certainly was an absolute Gentleman! ❤️👔✨

Today is my beautiful niece Ruby’s birthday - a lot of people think my name is Ruby because of my page name but it’s named after my beautiful niece . (The “evergreen” is because my late Dad lived on Evergreen street )I took this photo of her when we were collecting “plonkers”(conkers) when she was two-she is 8 today.
They are both artistic influences in my life . The night she was born I was listening to Florence and the machine in my car outside an Apple green on one of my long trips from cork to Belfast and I stopped to check my phone to see if there were any updates from the labour ward in San Francisco. She was the absolute most beautiful baby I’d ever seen - like a china doll with the most beautiful head of hair and the most beautiful face. I was listening to “st.Jude “ which is very emosh but she deserves something more upbeat to go with the photo😀. Happy birthday beautiful girl 🌸✨🌷❤️💚 ❤️
