National Day Calendar is celebrating Alice In Wonderland Day on July 4 to commemorate the date that Lewis Carroll first told his beloved story to Alice Liddell. Today's National Day is also the perfect opportunity to learn more about this English writer and how this famous children’s book came about.



Lewis Carroll Centre is located in Daresbury, in Cheshire where Lewis spent most of his childhood, before moving to Oxford.......

Disney brought the amazing book to life in one of their films in 1951 and this film has stood the test of time, and is appropriate for any age to watch ..... maybe worth putting on today

You may recognise this picture as it's on our summer brochure main cover...... I can think of nothing better than children laughing and engaging with each other.
So what's your favourite children's joke?

This joke was told to me by a child on I think about 18 months into running the holiday clubs so about 2008 and I still remember ..... I believe she was about 8 when she told me this and have always like it.

Wimbledon Starts Today
I have been very fortunate to get in the Wimbledon ballot tickets for this amazing event. I have actually gone 3 times, once for when Andy Murray won his first Wimbledon title. You spend most of the time looking at which celebrates you can spot ..... Cliff Richard, seems to always wear a loud jacket so is easily identifiable.

One day I have said I would like to queue for the tickets, and take a pop up tent ..... just to say I have done it...... I am always very busy around this time, so I have not had the opportunity to do this which is on my bucket list of things to do......
