Luminate Walton Stewarding Staff
We are looking for hard-working, friendly, self-motivating staff, to join us on a temporary basis over the festive period, to help us to create an amazing visitor experience at Luminate. We believe that the experience of all of our visitors is enhanced by our employing friendly and engaging stewards, who are happy to talk to the general public throughout their visit to Luminate, whilst also ensuring everyone stays safe throughout their visit.
What is Luminate?
Luminate is an enchanting, illuminated light trail set to ambient music. Visitors will enjoy an approx. 1m walk along a set trail, through the magically lit trail, pausing at dwell points & interactive moments on route. Food and drink and mulled wine will be available to purchase at a central hub area at the start/end and there will be fire pits part way round to toast marshmallows and soak up the atmosphere. A timeless experience to be enjoyed by all, young and old alike.
Where?
Walton Gardens, Warrington.
When?
The Event will run nightly and be open to the public from 24th Nov – 24th Dec (inclusive). We are looking for stewards to assist throughout that period. Number of shifts per week flexible, though we are looking for people who can commit ideally to a minimum 2 shifts per week.
Hours of Work
Approx 4.00pm – 9.30pm (some shorter shifts 4pm-8pm may also be available)
Roles
General Stewarding – assisting/guiding people along the route, assisting with crowd management, flow of pedestrians, monitoring/managing any cross-over points & interactive installations. Generally answering any queries/assisting with any issues and helping to ensure that all of our visitors enjoy a safe, fabulous evening with us at Luminate.
Entrance Staff – ticket checking & welcoming visitors to the Event.
Pay
£11.21 total pro rate per hour (£10 an hour + pro rata holiday pay, paid monthly)
Who are we?
We are J9 Events Ltd and this is our first year at Walton Gardens with Luminate. We like to think that we are a friendly bunch, who will value and look after our support staff well. We believe that our team on the day (or night!) are fundamentally important in ensuring that our visitors’ experience with us is as good as it can be and that our Event overall is a success. We look forward to working hard alongside you, to make sure that that is the case.
