Amanda Steel is an author, poet, and podcaster. Her recent novels include ‘Death to All Men’ and ‘Killing Tommy’, both written as Amanda Nicholson. She has also just published her pamphlet, ‘Before and After the Storm’.
Amanda’s poetry has been broadcast on BBC Radio Manchester, and she won the Bradford Cares 2023 Competition. She has a Creative Writing MA, and has articles published by Ask.com, Harlequin and Stylist, among others.
She has a personal essay published this month in the anthology ‘Rage Well Spoken’.
Pauline Omoboye was born in Manchester 1958, mother of 4 children & 10 grandchildren,who have been inspiration to many of her poems. Since attending the Black Women's Writing Course organized by Culture Word, she decided to work more seriously writing & performing through Manchester's first black women's writing workshop NAILAH.
She has since been published in many anthologies by Crocus, NAILAH, Arrival, Stride & Sista Talk as well as the local press appearing on radio/television, schools & theatres through out the region. She was voted the judges winner of the Stage to Page Poetry Competition in 2004.
