We were delighted to welcome the awesome Cubs and Explorers from 3rd Davyhulme down to the lake last night for some open-water fun! đź’¦

These kids (and their brilliant helpers!) never fail to amaze us with their enthusiasm, energy and willingness to push the boundaries of what they think they’re capable of.

Always learning. Always having fun. And always plenty of smiles. đź’™

A HUGE shoutout to George from Explorers, who swam Coniston this summer! What an epic achievement. 👏🏊‍♂️

Definitely one to watch , and what a fantastic example for the younger Cubs coming through.

We absolutely love having these guys down at Openswim. This is what it’s all about: confidence, adventure, water safety and discovering just how capable you really are. 🌊💪

🔥 WHAT. A. DAY, HYDRAFORGE! 🔥

We’re still buzzing from our incredible first HydraForge.

The biggest thank you goes to every athlete who took a chance on a brand-new event and gave it everything. 💪🌊

The performances were phenomenal, especially the swim. For some, it was their first ever open water experience, but they got in, took it on and absolutely smashed it. Without you guys, there is no HydraForge. ❤️

Huge thanks to for the equipment, for helping create the workouts and bringing such an awesome group of athletes, for the chip timing, for our brilliant medals. 🏅 for the footage on the day (more of that to come)

And a massive thank you to all our volunteers. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

We learned loads, loved every minute and can’t wait to make the next one even bigger and better. 👀🔥

12 weeks into our partnership with and we’re so proud of what these incredible young people have achieved.

Week by week we’ve watched confidence grow, friendships form and skills develop, both in and out of the water. The impact on the young people and their families has been truly beautiful to witness.

We’re delighted that this work was recognised on BBC North West Tonight, helping to highlight the importance of making swimming and water safety accessible for neurodivergent young people.

The best part? We’re continuing the programme, welcoming new families every week while seeing our regular swimmers go from strength to strength.

Whether you’re a swimmer, CrossFitter, HYROX athlete, triathlete or someone who just loves a challenge, HydraForge is designed to test you in a completely different way.
