The competition was insane, the standard was unreal, and every finalist truly brought their A-game last night , we truly cannot believe that just 12 months ago none of these bands existed!

A year ago, we started these open mic nights to create a space for incredible local talent to shine and to make live music accessible in Newry, Since then, we’ve shared so many amazing performances, met incredible artists, and built a brilliant community 🫶🏻🌳

Ahead of Heat 3 TOMORROW NIGHT in we have the final 2 acts competing for a place in our grand final on Saturday 1st August!
band have been going from strength to strength recently, representing Newry at the 2026 IYMAS and we can’t wait for them to play their first yew tree show! This act mixes indie rock and metal influences into a real storm unique mix with real attitude!
band from County Armagh bring influences from Wunderhorse and Keo as well as emotional performances that we are buzzing to check out! These guys have real range from Post-Hardcore to Indie so make sure to be front and centre for them!

This Friday we have the final heat of our debut BOTB in to see who will reach our grand final on Saturday 1st August. Make sure to get down to support these amazing acts!

will be making their first appearance on one of our bills and we were very inpressed after their performances at our open mic nights! This alt rock act bring an infectious passion for live performance that we are very excited for!
band are coming all the way from Wexford with a very 80’s inspired performance that we loved in the shortlisting stage. This is absolutely an act with a unique stage presence so make sure to be front and centre!

are coming down from Belfast with original music mixed with covers of acts like Oasis, The Libertines and David Bowie. They have made a name for themselves around Belfast and we’re sure they will go down a treat on their first Newry show!
