Golden sunshine, lots of laughs, and two people completely ready for their big day ☀️

Last week I met up with Finola & Paudie for their pre-wedding shoot, and I think we managed to catch the very last of the beautiful sunshine before the weather changed!

These sessions are always about so much more than just photos… they’re a chance to slow down, get comfortable in front of the camera, and shake off any nerves before the wedding day. By July, these two will feel like total pros ✨

Honestly, the biggest thing couples say after their pre-wedding shoot is how relaxed they feel afterwards.... and that’s exactly the goal 🙌

So when you have known a family as far back as your babysitting days, you have known them for a while! And you would think they would behave for a photshoot with me...? But I can't win them all!!

The Deerings grew up about a mile from me at home, and we went to school, sunday school, badminton and many out wee outings together... and you know they have never changed. Always a smile and a laugh and the cheekiness dripping out of them... I do hope the next generation are as funny as they all are. (I think they have more sense but that wouldn't be hard!!...jokes!!)

Wee Marion has a lot to put up with when they are all in the one place, but no better a woman to do it ♡ and she wouldn't have it any other way. Family is precious and this wee trip to Lurgan park will be one to remember... even for me! ♡ love these wee faces ♡ it was a pleasure to catch up with you all and update your family portraits!!

If the thought of being in front of the camera makes you nervous… bring the dog 🐾

Honestly, having your dog at your pre wedding session can completely change the whole feel of it. Instead of focusing on “posing” or wondering what to do with your hands, you’re focused on them.. throwing a ball, cuddling in close, laughing at the chaos and just being yourselves.

Some of my most relaxed couples have had their pup along for the adventure. It gives you something familiar, comforting and fun to focus on, especially if you’ve never had professional photos taken before. And the best part? Your photos instantly feel more you.

Looking forward to seeing Jessie again on the wedding day.... I made a new friend!!! 🐶

Pre-wedding sessions are about so much more than “just photos” before the wedding day 🤍

For most couples, this is the first time they’ve ever had professional photos taken together, and honestly… that can feel a little nerve wracking at first. You might worry about what to do with your hands, how to pose, or whether you’ll feel awkward in front of the camera.

That’s exactly why these sessions are so valuable. They give you both the chance to slow down, spend time together, and get comfortable being photographed before the wedding day arrives. No pressure, no rush, no guests watching… just the two of you having a relaxed stroll together while I gently guide you through the session.

By the time your wedding day comes around, you already know how I work, what to expect, and how natural photos can actually feel. Couples always tell me afterwards that it helped settle their nerves massively and made them feel so much more relaxed on the wedding day itself.

Sometimes the most meaningful gifts aren’t things at all… they’re moments you can hold onto long after the day has passed 🤍

Family photography isn’t just about “getting photos done.” It’s about pressing pause for a little while. It’s about capturing your people exactly as they are in this season... the laughter, the cuddles, the craic, the in-between moments you don’t even realise you’ll miss one day.

When you gift a family session, you’re not just handing over images… you’re giving memories. The kind that get framed on walls, printed into albums, and looked back on when the kids are that bit older and life has moved on just a little too quickly.

I was reminded of that with the Blair family at Whiterocks Beach at the weekend. What started as a simple session turned into the most relaxed, joy-filled family morning. The kids were straight into the sand, full of energy, giggles, and mischief...exactly how it should be. No stiff posing, no pressure… just them being themselves.

We ran along the shoreline, built little sandy moments, and let the waves and wind do their thing. And in between all that fun, we captured something really meaningful ♡ a snapshot of their family, just as they are right now.

Those are the memories their kids will grow up with. Not just the photos, but the feeling of that day… the laughter, the freedom, the time together.

And that’s why I’ll always believe this is one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give 🤍

T H E ♡ M c C U T C H E O N ♡ T W I N S ♡

There’s something extra special about photographing twins… the quiet connection, the giggles they share, the way they just *get* each other without saying a word.

These two gorgeous girls made my evening at Castle Coole feel like pure magic. Running through the gardens, one minute, off on their own little adventures in the park the next… it’s those in-between moments that tell their story best. Katie and Mollie, you girls are a delight to watch together ❤️ so sweet

What made this session even more meaningful was having both sets of grandparents there too. Three generations together, all wrapped up in one place. The cuddles, the proud smiles, the little moments between grandparents and granddaughters… those are the photographs that will be treasured for years to come.

Family portraits aren’t about perfect poses or everyone looking at the camera, they’re about capturing who you are, right now. The chaos, the laughter, the little looks you’ll want to remember forever. And with twins, and generations together, that story becomes even richer ✨

There’s just something about Whiterocks Beach that keeps pulling me back… 🤍 its one of my favourite spots on out gorgeous North Coast.

It’s one of those places that feels a little bit magical no matter the season. The soft white cliffs, the endless stretch of sand, and that wild Atlantic breeze...It’s the kind of backdrop that doesn’t need anything extra and so pretty in all seasons and weather 🌤 🌧

For family sessions, it’s perfect. There’s space for little ones to run free, toes in the sand, giggles carried on the wind… no pressure, no posing, just real moments unfolding naturally. And that’s always where the magic is.

I also love it for pre-wedding shoots, it brings a whole different kind of beauty. The light here, especially in the evening, is something else! Soft, golden, and romantic, or even dramatic depending on the weather! ⛈️ Couples can just be themselves, walking along the shoreline, wrapped up in each other, with the sea and cliffs doing their thing in the background.

It’s relaxed, it’s natural, and it never feels forced, which is exactly how I want your photos to feel ♡

Honestly, if you’re drawn to the coast, love a bit of wild beauty, and want photos that feel like you… this place might just steal your heart too ✨
