“Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine” is a beautiful and timeless old Irish proverb about the importance of community and connection. Often translated as “under the shelter of each other, people live,” it reflects a way of thinking deeply rooted in Irish life and history.

In old rural Ireland, neighbours depended on one another for survival—sharing work, food, and support through hard times. The word “scáth” (shadow or shelter) suggests protection and closeness, reminding us that no one truly stands alone.

Even today, its message holds true: in a world that values independence, it’s a quiet reminder that we are stronger together.

This was by far the most fun, yet biggest, and most challenging wedding I have ever completed, (but I did it!)

At first, the colour scheme to me was daunting (Orange! 😳) - but after a lot (and I mean a lot) of mixing and matching, thinking and wondering (literally weeks, nearly months) - the flowers complemented the ladies attire and colour scheme so well, it was just perfect in the end!

And then I organised the music for both the Ceremony, Drinks Reception and After Party, 😆😅 before collapsing in a hape and not showing my face until now 😆😅
