Nostalgia is a powerful drug. Inject this one straight in to my ears.

What an anthem from Skream, Benga & Artwork with the vocals of Angela Hunte. Dubstep’s greatest supergroup. 16 years fly by. The album was close to topping the album charts if it wasn’t for Robbie Williams and Cliff Richard dropping theirs the same week!

Had the pleasure of spending some time with this week, hosting a listening lounge session at Spotify ahead of their mammoth show at Drumsheds next Saturday (I’m fortunate to be playing too 🙏🏾)

They have always been ones to push the sound forward and play new tracks but we can only pray we get to hear this absolute gem💥

A very surreal evening in my life - hosting a listening session with the GOATs Skream & Benga at Spotify’s Listening Lounge in London 🐐🐐🔊🔊

Over 60 minutes, we talked through the history of dubstep and uk bass music listening to formative tracks such as 1999 - Groove Chronicles & Log On by Horsepower Productions.

Iconic records of their own like Midnight Request Line, 26 Basslines, Flame (which got a deserved reload), Magnetic Man’s MAD and an unreleased track blessed our ears too. Today happens to be the 16 year anniversary of Magnetic Man’s debut album.

Hearing these iconic and influential songs on the Friendly Pressure sound system was an experience for my ears - unreal!

We looked to the new guard of producers pushing the dubstep sound forward like Nitepunk and also the ones who continue to proudly fly the flag of bass music like modern day icon Flava D.

Thankful to Spotify UK & Ireland and the lads for putting their trust in me to host it. And it was a great audience with some faces and names I’m big fans of!

Dubstep was the first electronic music genre I really obsessed over and when I first learnt to DJ it was through this music. Skream and Benga were absolute rock stars and idols to me and my mates. Formative memories & rave experiences which I owe a lot to (enjoy the pics at the end of the carousel 😂)

Next weekend I get to play on a huge line up at DRUMSHEDS curated by Skream & Benga which covers dubstep, grime, jungle, garage and drum & bass. It’s going to be a celebration of UK Bass Music - the finest export this country has ever produced 🇬🇧🔊

This is not one to miss, trust me. Every DJ will be going absolutely in! Round up your crew, grab a ticket and let’s have a lovely time.

If you’ve bothered to get this far in the caption then thank you, you’re a real one and I expect I’ll see you there x

144 tunes. 5 hours. Bad Behli live in the dance all night long. 365 WORLD sold out 10 days in advance.

If you came down, I hope you had an immensely good time. I did 🙏🏾

Full 5 hour set is up on my Soundcloud (link in bio). YouTube is going up asap.

Swiiiiipe for the full tracklist and IDs ➡️➡️➡️
Drum & Bass, Bollywood anthems, Garage, UK bass riddims, Grime, Bhangra classics, Dancehall, 2013 House shufflers, Disco, some 08-09 dubstep.

Looking at these pics & vids by Yushy on the run and Drew Eckheart have filled me with serious joy because I couldn’t see anything from the booth on the night tbh. Just mist and shadows in the sauna of the Carpet Shop. Mad energy on the dance floor it seemed.

We’re doing it again in London - either NYE, if I can secure a decent venue this late on or it will be an early 2027 shubs.

Anddddddd I might be coming to your nearest city out of London to do it too before the years up. Sign up to the mailing list to be first to know.

Big love my donnys, just thank you 🤎
