Kim Jayde joins The KickBack's official Cannes Lions 2026 cohort taking place from 22-26
June 2026 in Cannes, France.

An award-winning media personality, presenter and broadcaster, Kimberley has built an impressive career across television, radio, digital media and live events, becoming one of the most recognisable voices in entertainment and culture.

As part of the cohort, Kimberley will join a group of talented professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs and future industry leaders representing The Kickback at the world's largest festival of creativity.
Throughout the week, the cohort will have access to networking opportunities, industry events, brand activations, workshops and conversations with some of the biggest names in advertising, media, technology, entertainment and business.

We are excited to have Kimberley representing The KickBack community in Cannes and look forward to seeing the connections, collaborations and opportunities that emerge throughout the week.

SCARY MOVIE 6 is almost here.

This Thursday, The Kickback returns to the cinema for what might be our funniest screening of the year.

**THE KICKBACK IS GOING TO CANNES 🇫🇷**

And we want to bring one young creative from our community with us.

**We’re looking for a content creator under 30 who can join us in Cannes from 21–26 June 2026 for Cannes Lions.** we will arrive 24 hours ahead of the festival

The selected person will receive a Cannes Lions pass with VIP access to talks, seminars, networking spaces and selected exclusive events across the week.

This is a real opportunity to be around global brands, creatives, agencies, founders and some of the biggest conversations happening in media, culture and entertainment.

We already have a line-up of meetings, events and invitations planned and want somebody who can help capture the experience properly.

We’re looking for somebody under 30 who:
• Creates strong content
• Understands TikTok/Instagram/social storytelling
• Has an existing audience or strong engagement online
• Can film, edit or present
• Is professional and reliable
• Has a valid passport and is available for the full trip
• ⁠has a following of atleast 20k on Instagram/tiktok

Preference may be given to creators with a sizeable and engaged following across social media.

SCARY MOVIE 6. WITH THE COMMUNITY. IN A CINEMA.

Yeah… this one was inevitable.

On Thursday 11 June 2026, The Kickback takes over the cinema for a private screening of Scary Movie 6 and if you know our screenings already, you know this is about to be chaos in the best way possible.

Expect:
• Pure 2000s nostalgia
• DJs and networking before the film
• Drinks and good energy
• A room full of people screaming at the screen together
• The funniest cinema atmosphere you’ve probably experienced in years

This is not a quiet cinema crowd.
This is a proper Kickback night out.

Thank you to everyone who attended Friday After Work: Spring Edition.

From the conversations to the music, the outfits, the dancing, the networking and the energy in the room — thank you for continuing to show up for us and for each other.

What started years ago as a simple idea to create better spaces for Black professionals has grown into something far bigger than we could have imagined. Nights like this remind us why we do it.

Ladies tickets are fully sold out. Last few male spaces remaining.
