We are deeply saddened to share the news that Sara Matthews, our Dean of Dance from 2017, and Director of Dance from 2019 - 2024 died on Monday 8 June.

Sara led our dance faculty with creativity and rigour at the heart of her time at Trinity Laban.

Our thoughts and condolences are with her family, friends and all those who knew her.

Jazz act Knats, featuring Trinity Laban students Stan Woodward, King David Ike-Elechi, Ferg Kilsby, and Sandro Shar, have signed to the historic label Fontana Records, which has recently been revived by Universal Music.

Knats will released their new album A Great Day In Newcastle via Fontana on Friday 1 May. Help them get to number 1 in the UK Jazz charts by ordering the record today.

British Brass Chamber Music Day at the Wigmore Hall, presented in memory of Philip Jones

The first British Brass Chamber Music Day takes place on 25 April in memory former Principal of the then Trinity College of Music, Philip Jones, who pioneered chamber music for brass with his ensemble from 1951-1986.

There is exciting variety of different programmes across the day, with over 70 participants, from juniors to professionals.

The 3pm concert features Trinity Laban’s very own Equinox Brass, who recently won our Philip Jones Brass Competition. Tickets for those under 35yo are only £5.
