I’m honestly over the moon that Lunatica has finally been booked to play in the UK, after years of persuading promoters! And without any input from me, the wonderful team at Sacredelic have decided to bring him over for their launch party!
He’s been a big inspiration to me—not just as a talented producer and sound designer, but also (from what I’ve heard) a great tutor (we’ve shared a few students in the past). I also love that he creates his own artwork for his releases (I’m a fan of that), and he’s developed a distinct sonic identity in his work, which I think is so important for any artist.
I believe a big part of that comes from his deep dive into the synth ANA. I don’t use it myself, but when you really get to know a synth, you start to uncover its character. Most synths have similar wave-shaping controls, but when you discover a synth’s unique magic, you can begin to assign it to the kinds of sounds it excels at.
Other than Serum 2, what synths are people really into lately? I’d love to know what other synth freaks are enjoying these days.
I’m also really excited to be playing on this lineup, and I’ll share more details about what I might be playing closer to the night, lately my taste and vibe have been all over the place (which I think is a good thing in some ways!).
