Today my remix of “Duke - So In Love with You” with Jon as part of Full Intention turns 30 years old!
It’s hard to believe that a track has stood the test of time so well and I still get asked for it regularly today. In fact I’ve had 2 people messaging me to play it this weekend in Zagreb!
I first heard the original of this track in Rimini on a boat trip and the song was beautiful and I thought if this was over a good groove it could sound anthemic.
I asked if Jon and I could have the multitrack to try out. One week later Pete Tong dropped it on his BBC Radio 1 show!
Over the years I have been surprised by the number of people who still continue to ask for it, especially from younger crowds.
My biggest surprise was these 2 girls at the front in Melbourne in March this year. They danced at the front all night and they told my Fiancee Mel that they’re Sisters and this is their favourite ever track and they listen to it every day. So she agreed to film them when in played it.
It’s incredible the long lasting power that music can have and I feel so lucky to have been able to produce music that is making an impact after so many years.
Thank you 🙏🏻
❤️
