Been sooo gassed to announce this one, but I am going to be on BBC Radio 1 Dance dance this weekend as part of the lovely Martha ‘s new series, “The UK Club Show”🥹😍. Launching 27/09 at 11pm (BST), the show celebrates club music and scenes from around the UK. Each episode focuses on a different region, highlighting the music, clubs, artists, producers, and DJs from that area. I was asked to provide a 1 hour mix as a love letter to Bristol; a city that has always felt like my truest home. It’s such a creative, free spirited place, and what first introduced me to the world of raving, bass music and UK club culture. This is where I have spent the majority of my twenties, discovering who I am both inside and outside Spectral. It’s also where I met some of my most special friend’s, and have experienced both my highest highs and lowest lows. It was a real honour to be approached by Martha’s team, I feel so overwhelmingly grateful. As a multi-genre bass music artist, I was spoiled for choice on incredible artists to include. I wanted to make the set a split between producers either from or currently based in Bristol, and tracks that go down well here or generally encapsulate the energy of the city to me. My mix will air at 1am (BST), but you can listen back on BBC Sounds for 1 whole month after the show via the link in my bio🥰🥰
