This past Sunday featured our latest Courtyard Concert in partnership with Haddo House NTS which takes place every first Sunday of the month 🎵🌳

We were treated to a simply wonderful performance from Owen O’Connor (who attends Meldrum Academy and played the bagpipes, Uilleann pipes, whistle & squeezebox) and Rueben Henderson (who attends , sang, and played guitar).

A huge thanks to these two incredible young talents and everyone who came down to watch and enjoy the performance. It was a pleasure to hear traditional Scottish music played so well in the beautiful surroundings of Haddo 💒

The next Courtyard Concert is on Sunday 7th September at 2.30pm, featuring the choir of Haddo House Choral & Operatic Society .

We’re taking opera out of the opera house and into halls across Scotland in an intimate, immediate and surprisingly relatable production, with four singers forming the cast of colleagues navigating workplace dynamics. For teens to grandparents, opera buffs to complete newcomers.

Scottish Opera Highlights - Tickets now on sale 🎉

Water cooler moments, scheming co-workers and the leaving do that some would like to forget. Opera Highlights is heading back to the office with a brand new show, transforming familiar situations – forbidden crushes and awkward workplace conversations – onto the stage.

This October Scottish Opera are stepping out of the opera house and into Haddo House Hall, in an intimate, immediate and surprisingly relatable production. For teens to grandparents, opera buffs to complete newcomers, book now to experience the more extraordinary office party.

📢 Courtyard Concerts at Haddo

We are delighted to announce a series of six free concerts, in partnership with the National Trust for Scotland, to take place in the Haddo Tearoom Courtyard on the first Sunday of each month at 2:30pm.

The free concert programme creates a new space for local musicians to perform and spans traditional pipes and fiddles to the Haddo House Choral & Operatic Society. Come along and enjoy wonderful music within the vibrant surroundings of Haddo! 🌳🎶

🔴 May 4th - Olwen Stewart (Flute) North East of Scotland Music School, and George Davidson (Scottish Fiddle)

🟢 June 1st - Calum Pearson (Pipes) Ellon Academy

The music poured from the accordion like a celebratory display of musical fireworks... I suspect that if Bach had heard Ryan’s performance he would have said, ‘That’s the way I want my music to be played from now on!

Three exceptional Scottish talents 👏

BBC New Generation Artist, Ryan Corbett, alongside Matthew Kilner and Neil Birse, proved that Scottish music is in a very exciting place as they thrilled a wonderful Haddo audience on Sunday evening.

All three musicians were truly magnificent and we were delighted to be able to sit down and talk to them during the concert for a quick question and answer session, and check that Ryan does indeed only have 10 fingers! 🤚🖐️

A huge thanks to all three as well as the fantastic audience who came down to witness something truly unique and utterly thrilling 🤩
