❤️💐 DO YOU KNOW SOMETHING? SOMETIMES I HAVE TO PINCH MYSELF! 💐❤️
Honestly, there are days when I sit back and think about what we do at Nikki’s Fleurs, and I genuinely feel so incredibly honoured. ❤️
Last week, a lovely lady contacted me through social media with a very special request. She wanted to know if we could create a bespoke Heart of Midlothian FC badge for a funeral.
Of course, my answer was YES! ❤️💛
The funeral took place on Tuesday, and out of respect for the family, I wanted to wait until after the service before sharing this beautiful tribute with you all.
But here’s the part that really gets me. 🥹
This lady travelled an incredible distance to collect this tribute from us. I’m sure she came from somewhere beyond Ayrshire, although I could be wrong about the exact location.
And honestly, when I think about that, it makes me feel so incredibly proud.
Someone has seen our work, trusted us with something so personal, and been willing to travel all that way because they wanted US to create their loved one’s final tribute. ❤️
And do you know what? This isn’t the first time.
We’ve had people travel from Aberdeen, Newcastle and other parts of the country just to collect one of our bespoke funeral tributes.
And I don’t think people realise just how much that means to us.
Because to some people, they might just see a football badge made from flowers.
But to us?
It’s someone’s dad. Someone’s mum. Someone’s husband. Someone’s wife. Someone’s best friend. Someone’s whole world. ❤️
And that is something we NEVER forget.
Every single tribute that leaves our shop has hours of work, patience, creativity and, most importantly, love poured into it.
My team and I don’t just throw flowers together and hope for the best. We study the details, we work out how to construct things, we sometimes start again when something isn’t quite right, and we put absolutely everything into making sure that tribute is the very best it can be.
Because we know that for the family receiving it, we only get one chance to get it right.
And when I see people travelling hundreds of miles to collect something we’ve created, it reminds me exactly why I started doing this job.
It makes all the long days, the early mornings, the stressful moments and the hours spent perfecting tiny details worthwhile.
And it’s not just about me.
It’s about my team too. ❤️
They work incredibly hard behind the scenes, and I want them to know that every single person who chooses Nikki’s Fleurs is recognising their hard work, their dedication and their talent.
We share so many of our tributes on social media, and sometimes I wonder if people realise just how much those shares, comments and recommendations actually mean.
Because somewhere out there, someone sees one of our creations, remembers it, and months later comes to us when they need something special.
That is the power of supporting a small business. ❤️

Sometimes it’s not about how much money you make or how many orders you’ve got.
