The SDE Weekender 2026 is all over, and we wanted to take a moment to celebrate some of the incredible talent we’re proud to have seen on our stage this year.

Earning a place in our Champ of Champs Grand Final is a huge achievement in itself, but to go on and win it is something truly special. Congratulations to these talented dancers! 👏🏼👏🏼

Now the question is… who will be the first to secure their place at our first Regional event in October? 🔥

Just starting to recover after what was honestly one of the best weekends we’ve ever delivered 🙌🏼

Seeing the feedback, the messages, the comments and watching social media absolutely light up with so many positive posts about the Scottish Dance Events Championship Weekender has been unreal. The support and response to this event has honestly blown us away.

Last year we set the bar for dance events in Scotland… and we genuinely didn’t know how we were going to top it. But this year? We absolutely smashed it out the park.

From the minute the doors opened at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the energy, the production, the professionalism and the overall standard were on another level. Seamless running, on time, on point and delivered exactly the way a top-tier event should be.

Top-tier judges. Top-tier talent. Top-tier organisation. Every detail carefully thought out to create an experience that felt elite from start to finish.

Scottish Dance Events Championship Weekender has become THE pinnacle event in Scotland’s dance calendar — and this weekend proved exactly why. ☝🏼🏆

What a weekend!!!! 💯

This one was harder than normal, but we did it — and with flying colours. Glasgow Royal Concert Hall brought some extra constraints, but we took them on board and still made it the best weekend ever.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The feedback has been unreal… hearing how much fun everyone had, how smoothly the event ran, and that it’s become many dance schools’ favourite weekender on the dance calendar means the world.🫶🏼

I want to say a massive thank you to all my team around me who worked their socks off this weekend and helped me give our dancers and dance schools the best memories possible.🙌🏻

SDE Team Scotland — you are AMAZING!!

Congratulations to every single dancer too. Win or not, it’s such a special opportunity to dance on the same stage as some truly incredible people.

Champ of Champs and Parents Team… WOW. What a moment. And topping off last night with an unbelievable performance from the students at Hamilton Theatre Arts — the crowd’s jaws were on the floor.✨

So that’s the 2026 SDE season officially over.😢

Now it’s time for a wee break before we get ready to bring you another belter of a season next year.
